Prof. Nishihara attended APSIPA ASC 2016 (Asia Pacific Signal and Information Processing Association Annual Summit and Conference 2016).

Prof. Nishihara was invited by Malaysia Japan International Institute of Technology, and gave a lecture and conducted a workshop on Academic Staff Development during 7-8 December 2016.

Prof. Nishihara attended the 13th IEEE TOWERS held at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology on 3 December 2016.

Prof. Nishihara took part in IEEE Japan Council Women in Engineering 2016 at Chuo University.

Prof. Nishihara was elected IEEE Region 10 Director-Elect, 2017-2018. Thank you very much for your supports. He will then serve as IEEE Region 10 Director, 2019-2020.
