Prof. Nishihara attended IEEE Japan Metro Area Workshop on 30 October 2021, SYWL (Students, Young Professionals, Women in Engineering, and Life Members) Workshop and Sapporo LMAG (Life Members Affinity Group) Inaugural Event on 31 October 2021, all at Hokkaido University

The first Tuesday of October is IEEE Day. We had a celebration party on 5 October 2021, just after the 19th IEEE Engineer Spotlight webinar. There was a difficult quiz competition about IEEE, where Prof. Nishihara won the third prize.

Prof. Nishihara supervised a new book entitled “6さいからはじめるプログラミングの考え方 (Programming Concept Starting from 6 Years Old)”. A famous comedian Mr. Noda Christal kindly wrote recommendation words.

On 28 May 2021, IEEE Region 10 Executive Committee members had a dialogue with IEEE President Kathy Land.
