Mr. Ryo Muramatsu, a former student of Tokyo Tech High School of Science and Technology, won the AAAI (Association for Advancement of Artificial Intelligence) Special Award Honorable Mention at ISEF (International Science and Engineering Fair) 2022 for his research entitled “Instrumental Sound Separation Using Compressed Machine Learning Models”. He received the Minister of State for Science and Technology Policy Award in the 65th Japan Students Science Award in December 2021 and was sent to ISEF as an official delegate from Japan. Prof. Nishihara, one of the judges of JSSA, served as his mentor.
