Prof. Nishihara attended IEEE Region 10 Execcutive Committee Meeting 2017 as IEEE Region 10 Director-Elect.

Prof. Nishihara attended APSIPA ASC 2016 (Asia Pacific Signal and Information Processing Association Annual Summit and Conference 2016).

Prof. Nishihara was invited by Malaysia Japan International Institute of Technology, and gave a lecture and conducted a workshop on Academic Staff Development during 7-8 December 2016.
